Brakpan, South Africa (Sportsbooks) - South African Mzonke Fana captured the vacant IBF junior lightweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision over fellow countryman Cassius Baloyi Wednesday night. Fana (30-4) won by scores of 119-109, 118-110 and 119-110. He's unbeaten in his last three fights. The victory by the 36-year-old Fana was revenge for his loss to Baloyi (37-5-1) in April 2008 for the same title. The belt was vacated by Robert Guerrero because he didn't defend his title against Fana. In another title fight on the card, Moruti Mthalane (26-2, 17 KOs) retained his IBF flyweight title with a fifth round technical knockout of Zolani Tete (13-1).
