London, England (Sportsbooks) - Tottenham midfielder Jamie Redknapp will serve an additional two-match suspension for his actions back on October 2. Redknapp already served a one-match ban for a dangerous tackle on Everton's Tim Cahill. The former England international admitted to the charge of serious foul play and has not requested a personal hearing. "It's a disappointment to be missing games but I'm relieved this has come to a conclusion," Redknapp said. Cahill, an Australian international, was forced to miss World Cup qualifiers due to the tackle. He suffered a knee injury that was originally thought to be serious, but then recovered in time for Everton's game against Southampton two weeks later. "I didn't mean to do that; it wasn't even a tackle. That is not my game, I would never do that to him," Redknapp explained after the incident. "As I tried to let the ball run across me, I just tried to step over it to allow it to run to me but he came in a bit quicker than I anticipated and I caught him."
