=== Sabres re-sign tough-guy Peters === Buffalo, NY (Sportsbooks) - The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed left wing Andrew Peters. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 6'4", 247-pound enforcer was Buffalo's second-round choice (34th overall) in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. Peters led the team with 151 penalty minutes last season and his 23 majors were most among all rookies. "Andrew has developed through our system and really took a significant step forward with his career last season," said general manager Darcy Regier. "He is a physical presence on the ice and has become a valuable member of our organization and this community off the ice." He scored two goals in 42 games in his first season.
