Nashville, TN (Sportsbooks) - Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Michael Leighton left Tuesday's game against the Nashville Predators with a high ankle sprain. The 28-year-old Leighton is considered day-to-day. During the first period, Leighton appeared to land awkwardly on the ankle when it was caught under his pad while trying to make a save. Brian Boucher replaced Leighton. Philadelphia already lost Ray Emery for the season with a hip injury. Emery was signed in the offseason and was expected to be the Flyers starter for 2009-10. Leighton was claimed off waivers from Carolina on December 15
