Orchard Park, NY (Sportsbooks) - The Buffalo Bills placed offensive lineman Kendall Simmons on injured reserve Friday, marking the 16th player the team has placed in IR this season. Simmons started three games after being signed on November 24 to replace rookie Eric Wood, who broke his leg and was placed in IR. Simmons suffered a shoulder injury in the team's win over Kansas City last week. Richie Incognito is expected to replace Simmons in the lineup after being claimed on waivers from St. Louis earlier in the week. The Bills' team record for players on IR is 17, set in 2007. Simmons became the sixth offensive lineman this year to be placed on the list. To replace Simmons on the active roster, the team signed tight end Joe Klopfenstein for the third time in a month. Klopfenstein has yet to appear in a game this season.
