Tampa, FL (Sportsbooks) - Tampa Bay Buccaneers activated safety Tanard Jackson from the exempt list after he was unable to play the first four games of the 2009 regular season for violating the NFL Substances of Abuse Policy. Jackson began serving the suspension on September 5 and will return to the lineup when the 0-4 Buccaneers play at Philadelphia on Sunday. The 25-year-old has started all 16 games in each of his two pro seasons with the Bucs after being selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Syracuse. He recorded 102 tackles and one sack with two forced fumbles and an interception last season. To open a roster spot, the club released defensive end Maurice Evans.
