East Rutherford, NJ (Sportsbooks) - New York Giants linebacker Michael Boley was activated off the physically unable to perform list Monday after recovering from hip surgery. Boley, signed by the Giants as a free agent in February, underwent an arthroscopic procedure on June 24 to repair a torn labrum in his hip. The former Atlanta Falcon is eligible to practice, but won't be able to play in the 2009 season-opener against Washington while he serves a one-game suspension from the NFL for violating the league's personal conduct policy. Also Monday, the Giants waived cornerback Stoney Woodson, wide receiver Taye Biddle and offensive lineman Terrance Pennington. Woodson, the Giants' seventh-round pick in the 2009 draft, was waived/injured with an ankle problem.
