Surrey, BC (Sportsbooks) - Adam Short fired an eight-under 64 Saturday to jump into a share of the lead after three rounds at the City of Surrey Invitational. Short completed 54 holes at 12-under-par 204 and he was joined there by Yohann Benson, who posted a six-under 66 in the third round. Mike Grob, who shared the second-round lead with Derek Gillespie, Greg McAuley and Kent Eger, carded a four-under 68 in the third round to move to 11-under- par 205. He was joined there by Bradley Heaven (67). Graham DeLaet (68) is alone in fifth place at minus-10, while Jose de Jesus Rodriguez is one shot back at nine-under-par 207 after a 67 Saturday. Short ran off three straight birdies from the par-five third. He poured in four birdies in a five-hole span from the ninth to jump into the lead at minus-11. After stumbling to a bogey on the 14th, Short birdied 15 and 16 to get to 12- under. He parred the final two to be the first in at minus-12. Benson posted a bogey-free round with two birdies on the front nine and four more birdies on the back nine. Chris Wall, Kris Wasylowich, Ryan Carter, Zack Shriver and Joseph Greiner share seventh place at eight-under-par 208. Gillespie fell into a share of 19th at minus-six after a one-over 73, while Eger was a stroke worse with a 74 Saturday. McAuley tumbled into a tie for 37th at two-under-par 214 after a five-over 77 in the third round.
