Mazatlan, Mexico (Sportsbooks) - Andrew Parr carded a six-under 66 Friday to move into the lead with the second round of the Corona Mazatlan Mexican PGA suspended due to darkness. Parr completed 36 holes at eight-under-par 136. First-round co-leaders Adam Speirs and Scott Hawley both shot 70 on Friday and are tied for second at minus-seven. The second round was delayed 75 minutes by fog Friday morning. The round will be completed Saturday morning starting at 9:30 a.m. (et) with the third round to follow. Parr got his round going with birdies on the second and fourth at El Cid Golf & Country Club. He gave a shot back with a bogey on the par-four fifth. After a par on six, Parr flew up the leaderboard with four straight birdies from the seventh. He tripped to another bogey on the 12th, but atoned for that mistake with a birdie on 13. Parr grabbed the outright lead with a birdie on the par-four 15th. "My putter was pretty hot today," Parr said. "I'm feeling good. I made a lot of birdies today and I've played well this week. I have to stay in the moment, stay aggressive and just take care of business out there. I can't control what everyone else is doing." Tom Stankowski (69) and Javier Quevedo (67) are tied for fourth at six-under- par 138. Defending champion John Ellis (71) is one of seven players tied for sixth place at minus-five.
