Guanacaste, Costa Rica (Sportsbooks) - Rob Grube posted a five-under 66 on Saturday to move atop the leaderboard after three rounds of the Costa Rica Classic. Grube, the first-round leader, finished 54 holes at seven-under 206 and is one shot clear of overnight leader Mauricio Molina, who managed an even-par 71 on Saturday. Diego Larrazabal also carded an even-par 71 in round three and is alone in third place at four-under 209 at Reserva Conchal Golf Club. Grube started well on Saturday with a birdie at the first hole. He recorded his next birdie at the par-three fifth, but dropped a shot at No. 6. Grube atoned for the error at six with a birdie at the seventh and made the turn at two-under 34. Grube birdied the par-four 12th to reach five-under par for the championship. It was the closing of the round that propelled Grube to first place. He birdied the par-five 16th and the par-five 18th to grab the third-round lead. Byron Smith (69), Hugo Leon (69) and Robert Gates (70) are knotted in fourth place at three-under 210. Paulo Pinto and Chris Baryla both carded matching rounds of one-under 70 and share seventh at minus-two. Juan Ignacio Gil (69) and Christophe Guenther (70) are tied for ninth at one- under 212. Erik Compton, almost six months from his second heart transplant, managed a one-under 70 on Saturday and is part of a group tied for 30th place at plus- six.
