Jon Scheyer also scored 20 and Nolan Smith contributed 12 points for Duke (8-0), which has won all 10 of its games in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Ayers hit nine three-pointers en route to a career- high 35 points to go with six rebounds, while McAlarney made seven from downtown for 27 points as the Irish (6-1) won their second straight game since losing to top-ranked North Carolina in the Maui Invitational championship. The Irish finished with 19 three-pointers, breaking the school record of 17 set against St. John's in 2004. South Dakota (3-5), which competes at the Division II level, was led by Jesse Becker's 24 points and six rebounds. Tyler Cain chipped in 12 points, seven boards and five assists in the loss.

Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbooks) - Dante Cunningham scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as 17th-ranked Villanova beat Penn, 69-47. The Wildcats (7-0), playing their third straight game at The Palestra after winning the Philly Hoop Group Classic over the weekend, also received 14 points from Corey Stokes and 10 from Scottie Reynolds. Harrison Gaines had 14 points and Tyler Bernardini scored 12 for the Quakers (1-5), who dropped their third straight game. Penn shot 32.7 percent from the field and never got on track after falling behind by double digits midway through the first half. Also, the Quakers were outrebounded, 47-24, by their Big 5 rival.

Memphis, TN (Sportsbooks) - Tyreke Evans logged a game-high 24 points as No. 18 Memphis had little trouble disposing of Marist, 100-61. Shawn Taggart posted 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Antonio Anderson and Roburt Sallie added 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Tigers (5-1), who shot 52.8 percent from the field on the heels of their first loss of the season to Xavier in the finals of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. David Devezin led a lackluster offensive effort for the Red Foxes (2-4) with 11 points as the team shot a mere 35.0 percent from the floor in the loss. Ryan Schneider and Lawrence Williams each chipped in 10 points while grabbing eight and nine rebounds, respectively.

Coral Gables, FL (Sportsbooks) - Jon Diebler scored 20 points and Ohio State took advantage of the ejection of the Hurricanes' top scorer, rallying from a 14-point deficit in the second half, to beat 21st-ranked Miami-Florida, 73-68, in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Hurricanes were ahead 19-7 midway through the first half when Jack McClinton was ejected for swinging at Ohio State guard Anthony Crater. McClinton came into Tuesday averaging 15.8 points, and he had 12 in this game before being ejected. Evan Turner had 19 points and six rebounds for the Buckeyes (4-0), who also received 11 points from David Lighty. Lance Hurdle scored 14 for the Hurricanes (4-2), who also got 10 points and 12 boards from Cyrus McGowan. Dwayne Collins had eight points and 11 boards in defeat.

Gainesville, FL (Sportsbooks) - Nick Calathes led the way with 16 points and seven assists as 23rd-ranked Florida topped Florida A&M, 73-58, at the O'Connell Center. Chandler Parsons added 15 points for the Gators (6-1), who have won three in a row and hit the road against Florida State on Sunday. Alex Tyus had 15 points and Erving Walker contributed 13 points in the win. Lamar Twitty led all scorers with 20 points for the Rattlers (1-6), who have lost two in a row and host conference rival Bethune-Cookman on Saturday. Brandon Bryant was the only other player in double figures with 16 points.

Milwaukee, WI (Sportsbooks) - Wesley Matthews scored 18 points to help the 25th-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles defeat Central Michigan, 81-67 at the Bradley Center. Dominic James had 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Golden Eagles (6-1), who opened the season with five consecutive double-digit wins before suffering a setback to Dayton on Saturday. Lazar Hayward and Jerel McNeal both chipped in 14 points, with Hayward grabbing eight boards. Jacolby Hardiman poured in a game-high 20 points and had seven rebounds for the Chippewas (2-4), who also got 19 points from Jeremy Allen.
