Allen Park, MI (Sportsbooks) - The Detroit Lions placed wide receiver Mike Furrey on injured reserve because of a concussion on Monday. Furrey managed just 18 receptions for 181 yards in nine games this season, two years after he had 98 receptions for 1,086 yards and six touchdowns for the Lions. Furrey suffered the concussion on November 9 against Jacksonville and has not played since. "Over the past few weeks, Mike made several attempts to participate in practice in hopes of returning to the field, but each time he removed himself from practice when dizziness or nausea related to the concussion occurred," said Lions general manager Martin Mayhew. To take his place on the roster, Detroit signed wide receiver Keary Colbert, who was cut by Seattle on November 11. Colbert began the season with Denver, but was traded to the Seahawks in September. Colbert played in seven games for Seattle and had seven catches for 52 yards and a score.
