(Sportsbooks) - The Minnesota Timberwolves will open a three-game road trip tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Timberwolves have alternated wins and losses over their last seven games and suffered a 106-97 loss on Saturday to the Denver Nuggets at the Target Center. Randy Foye had 25 points and six assists for Minnesota, which got 20 points and 13 rebounds from Al Jefferson. Rookie Kevin Love contributed 18 points and 12 rebounds for his first career double-double in the loss. The Timberwolves will also visit Orlando and New Jersey on the trek. Charlotte will resume a three-game homestand and opened the residency with an 89-84 setback to the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Gerald Wallace scored 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting for the Bobcats, who have lost two of three games and will also host Oklahoma City on the homestand. Jason Richardson added 22 points in his second game back after knee surgery and D.J. Augustin posted 13 points and five assists in defeat. The Bobcats went 2-0 against the Timberwolves last season and have won three straight and five of the eight all-time meetings. Minnesota is 1-3 as the visitor in this series.
