Jerious Norwood added 75 yards on 11 carries for the Falcons (2-1), while Chris Houston contributed a defensive touchdown late in the game on an interception return. Tyler Thigpen struggled in his first NFL start for Kansas City, connecting on only 14-of-36 throws for 128 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Larry Johnson carried the ball 24 times for 121 yards and a score for the Chiefs (0-3), who have now lost 12 straight games dating back to last season. Dwayne Bowe caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Atlanta was able to convert on all three of Kansas City's turnovers, scoring 17 total points. Conversely, the Chiefs were only able to recover one fumble, but they could not turn it into a score.

Final Score: Buffalo 24, Oakland 23

Orchard Park, NY (Sportsbooks) - Rian Lindell's 38-yard field goal as time expired led the Buffalo Bills to a 24-23 victory over the Oakland Raiders at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Following a punt, Buffalo got the final possession of the game as the team started the drive with the ball at its own 34 with 2:29 left and trailing by two points. Trent Edwards connected on passes of 11 and 16 yards before the two-minute warning to get the ball past midfield. Marshawn Lynch then rushed for 19 yards over the next four carries to set up Lindell's winning kick. Edwards went 24-of-39 for 279 yards with one touchdown and one interception while Lynch finished with 83 yards on 23 carries with two touchdowns for the Bills (3-0), who are off to their first 3-0 start since the 1992 season. JaMarcus Russell went just 9-for-19 with 156 yards, one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown while Michael Bush and Darren McFadden combined for 97 yards as each back carried the ball 14 times for the Raiders (1-2), who were looking for their fifth straight win against Buffalo.

Final Score: Tampa Bay 27, Chicago 24 (OT)

Chicago, IL (Sportsbooks) - Matt Bryant's 21-yard field goal with 4:21 left in overtime sent Tampa Bay over Chicago, 27-24, in a Week 3 matchup at Soldier Field. Brian Griese completed 38 of a franchise-record 67 passes for 407 yards and two touchdowns for the Buccaneers (2-1), who rallied from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to win. Kyle Orton threw for 268 yards and a pair of scores on 22-of-34 passes for the Bears (1-2), who have dropped two in a row. Matt Forte rushed for 89 yards on 27 carries, adding seven catches for 66 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Lloyd had six receptions for 124 yards and a score in defeat.

Final Score: Minnesota 20, Carolina 10

Minneapolis, MN (Sportsbooks) - Gus Frerotte threw for 204 yards and a touchdown in his first start of the season as Minnesota topped Carolina, 20-10, at the Metrodome. Frerotte, who replaced the ineffective Tarvaris Jackson behind center, completed 16-of-28 passes for the Vikings (1-2), who won for the first time this season. Adrian Peterson ran for 77 yards on 17 carries despite a bad hamstring, while Bernard Berrian had three receptions for 79 yards. E.J. Henderson had 12 tackles for a Minnesota defense that allowed just 47 yards rushing. Antoine Winfield returned a fumble 19 yards for a score and Kevin Williams had two sacks in the game. Jake Delhomme connected on 17-of-29 passes for 191 yards for the Panthers (2-1), who were aiming for their first 3-0 start since 2003 when the team advanced to Super Bowl XXXVIII. Carolina star receiver Steve Smith, making his first appearance after a two-game suspension for punching teammate Ken Lucas, finished with four receptions for 70 yards.

Final Score: Miami 38, New England 13

Foxboro, MA (Sportsbooks) - Ronnie Brown ran for four touchdowns and threw for another score, as the Miami Dolphins pulled off a stunning 38-13 victory over New England at Gillette Stadium and ended the Patriots' regular-season winning streak at 21 games. The Dolphins, coincidentally, were also the last team to beat the Patriots in the regular season, earning a 21-0 triumph on December 10, 2006 in Miami. It was also the first home loss for New England since November 12, 2006, when a Chad Pennington-led Jets team left Foxboro with a 17-14 victory. Pennington, in his third start for the Dolphins (1-2), threw for 226 yards on 17-of-20 passing to give Tony Sparano his first win as a head coach after season-opening losses to the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals. Miami equaled its win total from last year and also snapped an 11-game road losing streak, winning away from Dolphin Stadium for the first time since a Thanksgiving Day triumph at Detroit on November 23, 2006. Brown ran for 113 yards and set a Dolphins record with his four rushing touchdowns, breaking the old mark of three held by numerous players. He also tied the team record for most touchdowns scored, a mark set by Hall of Famer Paul Warfield and matched by Mark Ingram. Both receivers caught four TD passes. Ricky Williams added 98 yards on the ground for the Dolphins, who gutted the New England defense for 216 yards rushing. Miami piled up 461 total yards to just 216 for the Patriots. The Dolphin defense was led by linebacker Joey Porter, who had three sacks and one forced fumble. Matt Cassel, in his second NFL start, completed 19-of-31 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown and an interception for New England (2-1), which had beaten Kansas City and the Jets to open the year. It also marked the worst home loss for the Patriots since a 41-10 thrashing by Atlanta on November 8, 1998.

Final Score: NY Giants 26, Cincinnati 23 (OT)

East Rutherford, NJ (Sportsbooks) - John Carney's fourth field goal of the afternoon, a 22-yarder with 8:39 remaining in overtime, boosted the unbeaten New York Giants to a 26-23 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati's Shayne Graham tied the game with a 21-yard field goal on the final play of regulation, but the Bengals (0-3) couldn't overcome Eli Manning in overtime. The New York quarterback stayed cool under pressure, completing a huge 31-yard pass to a leaping Amani Toomer on a 3rd-and-10 play, moving the ball to the seven. Two plays later, Carney split the uprights for the defending Super Bowl champions, who enter their bye week by moving to 3-0 for the first time since 2000, the season they finished 12-4 to win the NFC East title before losing to Baltimore in the Super Bowl. Manning completed 26-of-43 passes for 289 yards and one touchdown, that a four-yarder to tight end Kevin Boss with 1:50 remaining in the fourth quarter. Carson Palmer was 27-of-39 passing for 286 yards and his first TD of the season for the Bengals, while T.J. Houshmandzadeh had 12 catches for 146 yards and a score in a losing effort.

Final Score: Tennessee 31, Houston 12

Nashville, TN (Sportsbooks) - Kerry Collins led an efficient offensive attack and Tennessee's defense held twice on fourth-and-goal down the stretch, as the Titans smashed the Houston Texans, 31-12, in an AFC South clash. Collins was 14-of-26 passing for 189 yards with one touchdown and an interception, and LenDale White scored twice while rushing for 49 yards. Justin McCareins hauled in four passes for 90 yards for the Titans (3-0), who started the season with three straight wins for the first time since 1999, when they eventually advanced to the Super Bowl. Cortland Finnegan returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown in the waning moments of the game, good for the longest return in franchise history. Matt Schaub was intercepted three times and failed to throw a touchdown pass on 17-of-37 passing for 188 yards, while Steve Slaton gained 116 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown. Owen Daniels caught four balls for 71 yards for the beleaguered Texans, (0-2) who are still searching for their first win after getting destroyed, 38-17, at Pittsburgh in Week 1. Andre Johnson dropped three potential touchdown passes in the first half and finished with only two catches for 29 yards. The Texans were scheduled to host the Baltimore Ravens last weekend, but Hurricane Ike ravaged the Houston area and ripped five panels off the retractable roof of Reliant Stadium. There was also significant water damage inside the facility, the Texans' home since their inception in 2002. The game was then moved to Monday night before the NFL postponed the Texans/Ravens clash until November 9. Because the Texans and Cincinnati Bengals shared the same bye week, their game originally set for November 9 was moved to October 26. Houston could play at nearby Rice Stadium if its state-of-the-art facility is not ready for the team's next scheduled home game, October 5 against Indianapolis.

Final Score: Washington 24, Arizona 17

Landover, MD (Sportsbooks) - Santana Moss caught seven balls for 75 yards, including the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, as the Washington Redskins escaped with a 24-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in a hard- hitting Week 3 bout. Jason Campbell connected on 22-of-30 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns for Washington (2-1), which has won seven straight against Arizona. Clinton Portis was held in check with 68 yards rushing and a score on 21 carries, while the Redskins' defense came through with a pair of turnovers and two sacks. Kurt Warner was 16-of-30 for 192 yards with two touchdowns and a costly interception for Arizona (2-1), which had an opportunity to win its first three games of the season for the first time since 1974. Larry Fitzgerald hauled in seven balls for 109 yards, including a career-high 62-yard touchdown. Edgerrin James logged 93 yards on the ground on 18 carries but also fumbled, as Arizona failed to reach the 20-point plateau for the first time in 11 games dating back to last season.

Final Score: Denver 34, New Orleans 32

Denver, CO (Sportsbooks) - Jay Cutler threw for 264 yards and two scores, as the Denver Broncos survived a spirited comeback bid from the New Orleans Saints, 34-32, from Invesco Field at Mile High. Selvin Young ran for 65 yards on 11 carries while Michael Pittman found the end zone once for the Broncos (3-0), who were coming off a controversial 39-38 win over San Diego last Sunday. Drew Brees racked up 421 yards passing, hitting on 39-of-48 attempts with a touchdown and Reggie Bush rushed for a touchdown and caught another. Bush had 73 yards rushing, caught 11 passes for 75 yards and finished with 163 all-purpose yards. Isaac Bruce had two catches for 19 yards and crossed the goal line once. Jon Kitna completed 15-of-30 throws for 146 yards, with a TD and an interception for the Lions (0-3), who were beaten 48-25 last week by the Packers. Rudi Johnson had 14 carries for 83 yards and added three receptions for 48 yards and a score. Jason Hanson hit on 2-of-2 field goals with a long of 51 yards, which gives him 35 career field goals of 50-plus yards.

Final Score: Seattle 37, St. Louis 13

Seattle, WA (Sportsbooks) - Julius Jones ran for 140 yards and a touchdown, while T.J. Duckett added two more scores on the ground to lead the Seattle Seahawks to a 37-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Seahawks used 245 total yards on the ground to grind out the victory, outgaining the Rams 407-240 overall. Seattle managed to score on its first four possessions, putting St. Louis away early.

Final Score: Baltimore 28, Cleveland 10

Baltimore, MD (Sportsbooks) - Ed Reed highlighted an outstanding defensive effort with a 32-yard interception return for a touchdown, as the Baltimore Ravens used a dominant second half to upend the winless Cleveland Browns, 28-10 in an AFC North tilt. The Ravens' defense accumulated five sacks and three turnovers, yielding a stingy 169 total yards in a rather convincing victory. Rookie Joe Flacco hit 13-of-19 passes for 129 yards and two interceptions for Baltimore (2-0), which was coming off its bye week after being unable to play in Houston due to the effects Hurricane Ike had on the Gulf Coast area. Willis McGahee ran for 64 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries before exiting early with a scratched eyelid. Le'Ron McClain carried the ball 17 times for 66 yards and two scores. Derek Anderson was rattled relentlessly while under center for Cleveland (0-3), which has scored 10 points or less in all three games after last year being held to under 10 on just two occasions. Last year's Pro Bowl selection was picked off three times, connecting on a mere 14-of-37 for 125 yards and a touchdown and finishing with a passer rating of 22.9. Jamal Lewis logged 77 total yards -- 56 on the ground -- against his former team, while Braylon Edwards was once again held to a pedestrian three receptions for 27 yards. Jerome Harrison accounted for the Browns' only touchdown on a 19-yard reception.

Joseph Addai gained 78 yards and a pair of TDs on 16 carries, Reggie Wayne caught three balls for 74 yards and Marvin Harrison had four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Final Score: Philadelphia 15, Pittsburgh 6

Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbooks) - Donovan McNabb threw for 196 yards and the game's only touchdown on 24-of-35 passing to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a tough 15-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. McNabb, who was intercepted once, also set a franchise record for career touchdown passes. He was tied with Ron Jaworski coming into the contest, but the TD toss gives McNabb the new mark of 176. The news was not all good for the Eagles (2-1), as star running back Brian Westbrook left the game at the start of the second quarter with a strained right ankle and did not return. Westbrook will have an MRI exam on Monday. Correll Buckhalter took Westbrook's place and ran for 43 yards on 10 carries, while catching six passes for 44 yards and a score. Hank Baskett caught a career-high eight passes for 85 yards for Philadelphia, which also got a pair of field goals from David Akers. Roethlisberger also left the game late in the fourth quarter with a right hand injury and will need an X-ray to determine the extent of the damage. Jeff Reed kicked a pair of field goals to account for the Pittsburgh points. The game was marked by grinding, physical play. The Eagles notched nine sacks -- 2 1/2 by Juqua Parker -- while the Steelers had three, while McNabb left the game with a chest injury, but later returned.
