Toronto, ON (Sportsbooks) - Tom Stankowski birdied his final two holes Sunday to earn his first victory on the Canadian Tour at the Canadian Tour Championship. He shot a final-round, three-under 69 and won the title at by two strokes at 16-under 272. Overnight co-leader Wes Heffernan only managed a one-under 71 on Sunday and tied for second place with Graham DeLaet, who shot a three-under 69. The pair finished at 14-under 274. John Ellis carded an even-par 72 in the final round and shared fourth place with Steve Friesen, who fired a four-under 68. The duo came in at 11-under-par 277. While Ellis and Heffernan failed to make it to the winner's circle at National Pines Golf Club, the two can walk away from this championship with some sense of victory. Ellis and Heffernan finished first and second respectively on the Canadian Tour money list and earned exemptions into the second stage of PGA Tour National Qualifying School. Ellis earned the Player of the Year award. Barrett Jarosch (69) and Dale Vallely (70) shared sixth place at minus-nine, while Dustin Risdon (73) and two-time winner this year Daniel Im (77) tied for eighth at seven-under 281. Wil Collins (70), J.C. Deacon (71) and D.J. Fiese (73) shared 10th place at minus-five.
