Seaforth, ON (Sportsbooks) - Kent Eger fired a seven-under 64 Sunday to win a shootout at the Seaforth Country Classic. Eger completed the tournament at 26-under-par 258, two strokes clear of three players, two of whom account for five wins this season. John Ellis, a three-time winner this year and the leading money winner, and Daniel Im, a two-time winner this season, both closed with rounds of eight- under 63. They were joined in second at 24-under-par 260 by Wil Collins, who closed with a nine-under 62. Eger was even-par through six holes with a birdie at the first and a bogey on the par-four third at Seaforth Golf Club. Eger then caught fire with seven birdies over the final 12 holes. He started his hot stretch at the par-four seventh, where he made birdie to move to 20-under. Eger made birdie at the ninth and another on No. 12. Eger ran off four consecutive birdies from the 14th to jump to 26-under. He parred the last to secure his first Canadian Tour win. Derek Gillespie took fifth at 22-under-par 262 after a final-round 64. Third-round leader Adam Bland managed a two-under 69 to end tied for sixth at minus-21. He was joined there by Andrew Parr (66) and Dong Yi (65).
