Seaforth, ON (Sportsbooks) - Wil Collins and Andrew Parr both fired rounds of eight-under 63 Friday to move into a share of the lead after two rounds of the inaugural Seaforth Classic at Seaforth Golf Club.
Collins and Parr completed 36 holes at 14-under-par 128. Both players are searching for their first Canadian Tour win.
Mark Warman also fired a 63 to jump into a share of third at minus-13. He was joined there by Matt Daniel (65) and Kent Eger (64).
Daniel Im, a two-time winner this season, posted a 66 and is tied for sixth with Joseph Lanza (63) at 12-under-par 130.
Collins played the back nine first on Friday. After a birdie on the 12th, he poured in four straight birdies from the 14th to jump to 11-under.
Around the turn, he wrapped birdies at four and six around a bogey on the fifth. Collins closed with birdies on the eighth and ninth to share the lead.
Parr, who played in the group behind Collins, got off to a flying start with five birdies in his first seven holes to move to 11-under.
On the front nine, he birdied the second and fourth. After four straight pars, Parr birdied No. 9 to join Collins in the lead.
John Ellis, the Canadian Tour's leading money winner in 2008, shot six-under 65 and is tied for eighth place at 11-under-par 131. He stands alongside Kris Wasylowich (65), Eric Couture (66) and Mitch Gillis (64).
First-round leader Adam Bland managed a one-under 70 and is tied for 16th at minus-nine.
The cut line fell at five-under-par 137 with 63 players moving on to the weekend. Among those who missed the cut were last week's winner Alex Coe (138), ATB Financial Classic champ Dustin Risdon (138), Montreal Open winner Graham DeLaet (140) and La Loma San Luis Potosi Open champion Russell Surber (141).
