Davie, FL (Sportsbooks) - Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter was fined three game checks by the NFL for his part in a Las Vegas scuffle with Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Levi Jones. Porter punched Jones on March 18 after a disagreement in the Palms Hotel- Casino and the former All-Pro linebacker pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery in May. Porter signed a five-year deal with the Dolphins this offseason after spending the first eight years of his career in Pittsburgh. Porter started in 14 games in 2006, and led the Steelers with seven quarterback sacks and also intercepted two passes, which tied for second on the team. He has appeared in 124 career games, racking up 498 tackles, 60 sacks and 10 interceptions over that span. His sack total ranks fourth in Steelers team history. The 6-3, 250-pounder has earned three trips to the Pro Bowl and helped Pittsburgh to a Super Bowl Championship following the 2005 season.
