Tempe, AZ (.com) - The Arizona Cardinals added to their receiving corps and bolstered their return game by signing Ted Ginn, Jr. to a three-year contract on Thursday.

Ginn joins the Cardinals after spending 2013 with Carolina. He played in all 16 games last season, catching 36 passes for 556 yards and a career-best five touchdowns. Ginn also averaged 23.8 yards on kickoff returns and set a Panthers record with a 12.2-yard average on punt returns.

The 28-year-old Ohio State product has amassed 197 receptions for 2,604 yards and 11 touchdowns in 104 career games. Ginn, who has six career return touchdowns, was a first-round draft pick (ninth overall) of Miami in 2007 and spent his first three seasons in the league with the Dolphins. A three-year stint with San Francisco followed.

The Cardinals also announced that they agreed to terms with linebacker Matt Shaughnessy on a two-year contract and released linebacker Dontay Moch.
