Bears re-sign C Garza

Lake Forest, IL (.com) - The Chicago Bears re-signed center Roberto Garza to a one-year contract worth a reported $1.5 million on Thursday.

Garza, a team captain, started all 16 games for the Bears this past season.

The 34-year-old veteran has started 164 of 194 career games in 13 seasons, having also played for the Atlanta Falcons (2001-04), who selected him in the fifth round of the 2001 NFL Draft.
