Charlotte, NC (.com) - Colin Kaepernick threw a touchdown pass and ran for another as the San Francisco 49ers advanced to their third consecutive NFC Championship Game following a 23-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

The fifth-seeded 49ers will face the top-seeded Seattle Seahawks at rowdy CenturyLink Field next Sunday for a chance to play in their second straight Super Bowl.

Kaepernick completed 15-of-28 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown two months after his worst statistical game as a pro against the Panthers.

Kaepernick went 11-of-22 for a season-low 91 yards with an interception, was sacked a career-high six times and rushed for just 16 yards during San Francisco's 10-9 home loss to Carolina on Nov. 10.

The 49ers paired scores at the end of the half and beginning of the third quarter to jump out to a 20-10 lead and San Francisco's stout defense did the rest.

Anquan Boldin caught eight passes for 136 yards, while Frank Gore carried the ball 17 times for 84 yards in the triumph.

Cam Newton was 16-of-25 for 267 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions and added 54 yards on the ground for the NFC South-winning Panthers.
