Chapter Seven wins another Breeders Crown

Toronto, ON (Sportsbooks) - Chapter Seven took the lead down the stretch to capture his second straight Breeders Crown event. The victory was one of four posted on the evening at Woodbine by driver Tim Tetrick, A dozen championship harness races were conducted worth more than $6 million.

Chapter Seven, the 3-4 favorite, won the $600,000 Older Colt and Gelding Trot. Tetrick guided the 4-year-old colt through the mile in 1:52 3/5. Last year Chapter Seven won the 3-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Trot.

Tetrick followed with American Jewel storming down the stretch to win the $500,000 3-Year-Old Filly Pace. With Tetrick driving, the 8-5 favorite went the mile in 1:52 1/5.

Later in the program, Tetrick got another Breeders Crown win with 9-5 favorite Heston Blue Chip taking the $550,000 3-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Pace. The colt paced the mile in 1:49 2/5.

The next race had Anndrovette successfully defending her title in the $325,000 Older Filly and Mare Pace. The 5-year-old, with Tetrick driving, paced the mile in 1:50 1/5.

Posting a natural triple was driver Yannick Gingras.

To Dream On, driven by Gingras, took the lead on the far turn in winning the $600,000 2-Year-Old Filly Trot. The 8-5 second pick trotted the mile in 1:54 4/5.

The next race had Gingras guiding Maven to victory in the $500,000 3-Year-Old Filly Trot. Maven, the 7-2 third choice, went past 4-5 favorite Check Me Out down the stretch with last year's champion 2-year-old filly finishing third. Maven trotted the mile in 1:54. Win Missy B was second as the 3-1 second pick.

Gingras made it three in a row by winning the $600,000 2-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Pace with longshot Rockin Amadeus. The 17-1 outsider covered the mile in 1:51 2/5.

The night began with Tamla Celeber S, driven by Brian Sears, catching defending winner Frenchfrysnvinegar just before the wire to claim the $250,000 Trot for Older Fillies and Mares. The 5-year-old covered the mile in 1:55 2/5 after starting from the far outside post in the 10-horse field.

The $600,000 2-Year-Old Filly Pace went to Somwherovrarainbow. Driven by Andy Miller, the 6-5 favorite went the mile in 1:52 2/5.

Even-money favorite Wheelin N Dealin held off Royalty For Life down the stretch to capture the $600,000 2-year-Old Colt and Gelding Trot. Wheelin N Dealing, driven by Sylvain Filion, went the mile in 1:56 to remain undefeated in nine starts.

Intimidate rallied down the stretch to capture the $545,000 3-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Trot. Driven by Ron Pierce, the gelding trotted the mile in 1:52 4/5. Intimidate has now won five consecutive starts.

Bettor Sweet, third in the 2010 race, captured his second straight $500,000 Older Colt and Gelding Pace to close the program. The 7-year-old gelding, driven by David Miller, covered the mile in 1:49 1/5.
