| Surprise, AZ (Sportsbooks) - The Texas Rangers signed left-handed pitcher Jimmy Gobble to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training, the team announced Saturday. The 27-year-old Gobble was released Friday by Kansas City. Gobble has had success against left-handed batters over the past three seasons, holding them to a .236 average, including a .200 mark last year.
