Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbooks) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers acquired wide receiver Reggie Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday for a sixth-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. After the Eagles selected him in the second round of the 2005 draft, Brown appeared in all 16 regular season games in each of his first three years with the club. Buccaneers have not been major players in free agency recently and trend should continue. They spent past year accumulating draft picks while initiating youth movement by releasing veterans Derrick Brooks, Warrick Dunn, Joey Galloway and Ike Hilli

Report: Sapp arrested, suspended from NFL Network NFL Football 02/06/2010
FL All-Pro Warren Sapp was reportedly arrested on charges of domestic violence, and he will not participate in the NFL Network's coverage of Super Bowl XLIV. According to the Miami Herald, Sapp's girlfriend accused the former University of Miami and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star of choking her and throwing her into the couple's hotel room. The paper reported the police eventually charged Sapp with misdemeanor domestic battery, and that Sapp was taken to Miami-Dade County jail Saturday night. The report says the TV netw

Tampa, FL (Sportsbooks) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finalized their 2010 coaching staff on Thursday, naming former Buffalo offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt as the team's quarterbacks coach. Van Pelt spent the past four seasons with the Bills, the first three as quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator last September. Buffalo finished 30th out of 32 teams in total offense in 2009. The Bucs also named Eric Yarber wide receivers coach and Tim Holt offensive assistant coach. On the defensive s

d as a team consultant on Dec. 24. But it would not be happily ever after for Hartley. A little more than a week after he was handed the full-time job back, Hartley missed what would have been a 37-yard game-winner in a home game against the two-win Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Adding to the embarrassment of what would become a 20-17 overtime loss was the constantly-replayed clip of team owner Tom Benson throwing his hands up in exultation, only to be told that Hartley had missed the kick. Amid criticism, Payton again opt

Instead, Buddy Ryan's influence is felt to this day.

``Going against a Buddy Ryan defense, Rex Ryan defense or whatever Ryan you're going against that day, it's going to be a proud tradition,'' said Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris. ``They are going to be physical, tough men out there playing against you. You know that. You've got to be ready to deal.''

The Ryans wouldn't have it any other way.
