LOUIS (AP) -St. Louis Rams free safety Oshiomogho Atogwe, the team's top playmaker the last four seasons, has become an unrestricted free agent after failing to come to an agreement on a multiyear contract. The Rams had a late Tuesday deadline to sign Atogwe, who is coming off shoulder surgery that sidelined him the final four games last season. LOUIS (AP) -Retired defensive tackle La'Roi Glover has a new job for the St. Louis Rams - helping young players make the transition to professional football and learn how to deal with off-the-field matters. | Lake Forest, IL (Sportsbooks) - The St. Louis Rams obtained safety Kevin Payne from the Chicago Bears on Wednesday, in exchange for an undisclosed 2011 draft pick. Payne spent the last three seasons with Chicago after being selected in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He appeared in 32 games (22 starts) and racked up 195 tackles, 10 pass breakups and four interceptions in his time with the Bears.
