| Detroit, MI (Sportsbooks) - Lions running back Kevin Smith will not be in the lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings because of a sprained ankle. Smith practiced on a limited basis Friday and was listed as questionable, but is unable to play. He had started Detroit's last two games. Additionally for the Lions, defensive tackle Nick Fairley will not play because of a foot injury. He missed the first four games of the season after having surgery on the foot in August. |

Peterson was hurt in the first quarter of a November 20 game against Oakland.
