Larry Johnson signs with Dolphins NFL Football 08/23/2011

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - Veteran running back Larry Johnson has signed with the Miami Dolphins after sitting out most of last season.

Johnson gained 2 yards on five carries in two games before he was released by the Washington Redskins last September. The 31-year-old has rushed for 6,221 yards and 55 scores in his career, but has played in just 16 games in the past three seasons.

In 2009 Johnson was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in November and finished the year with Cincinnati. His time in Kansas City

Bush - who lost his Heisman and saw his team stripped of a Bowl Championship Series title - even says something needs to change.

``Obviously a lot of things going on right now are terrible, moreso for the college players,'' said Bush, now with the Miami Dolphins. ``It's tough when you can take a college player's career and dream away from him at the snap of a finger. Something needs to be done.''

that time teams had a chance to spend countless hours evaluating talent and determining what players fit, both financially and schematically. Running back Reggie Bush apparently did not fit into the long-term plans of the Saints and was dealt to the Miami Dolphins for safety Jonathan Amaya and an undisclosed draft pick. Bush was slated to earn $11.8 million this season with New Orleans, a large amount of cash for a man who played just eight games a season ago and has been injury-prone throughout his pro caree

Due to her multitude of off-court interests -- modeling, acting, rapping, peddling goods on HSN, partly owning NFL teams (the Miami Dolphins), nail technician, etc. -- and a series of injuries over the past decade, the Michigan native/Florida resident has played only sparingly in recent years, which were/are still prime ones in her brilliant career. not the first program Schnellenberger has helped to build, nor the first team he's helped to find success. He was part of Bear Bryant's coaching staff at Alabama, winning three national titles in the 1960s, and was the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins when they went 17-0 in 1972. Schnellenberger became Miami's head coach in 1979, taking over a program that had endured a string of losing seasons. He turned the Hurricanes into a contender, and in 1983 they beat Nebraska in the Orange Bowl and won t
Former Dolphins LB Crowder announces retirement NFL Football 08/09/2011
Miami, FL (Sportsbooks) - Less than two weeks after being cut by the Miami Dolphins, linebacker Channing Crowder called it a career on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Crowder announced his retirement on WQAM radio in Miami. "It's prideful. I retired as a Dolphin. I'm going to stay down here. I learned to love South Florida," Crowder said. Crowder was a starter for Miami since being drafted in the third round of the 2005 draft, but the Florida product drew criticism for failing to make more big plays. In 11 games
