Andersen is expected to take the place of Yao Ming, who suffered a hairline fracture in his left foot and after surgery is out indefinitely and possibly for the whole upcoming 2009-10 season. The Rockets acquired the rights to Andersen in a trade with Atlanta on July 14. He was a second round pick of the Hawks in the 2002 draft.
