| Anaheim, CA (Sportsbooks) - Detroit Tigers outfielder Marcus Thames is expected to miss more than a month because of a severe rib cage strain. Thames strained a rib cage muscle in batting practice Tuesday, and an MRI exam showed the strain is severe enough to keep him inactive for up to four weeks.
