ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - Rocky Boiman isn't going to get a chance to ease his way into the Detroit Lions' defense. It's going to be more like cramming for final exams in his days at Notre Dame. The veteran linebacker signed with the Detroit Lions earlier in the week and is scheduled to play in Thursday's final preseason game against Buffalo. ``We didn't bring him in here to stand around,'' Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Tuesday. ``He's here to play. We expect him to be out there against the Bills.''< |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - The Browns expect the NFL to review the play in which Detroit Lions rookie Ndamukong Suh grabbed quarterback Jake Delhomme's facemask and violently flung him to the ground. In the second quarter of Saturday's exhibition game, Suh grabbed Delhomme by the face mask, twisted it, threw both arms around the QB's head and spun him to the ground. Suh was assessed a 15-yard penalty for the infraction, which seemed severe enough to warrant an ejection. Browns coach Eric Mangini said Monday t |

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz has many questions to answer before the regular-season opener in two weeks. None of them involve defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch. Schwartz knows Vanden Bosch from their days together in Tennessee, and hasn't had any surprises from the defensive end in his first training camp with the Lions. ``He is what he is,'' Schwartz said Thursday. ``Kyle Vanden Bosch is a name brand, so you know exactly what you are going to get.
