| Allen Park, MI (Sportsbooks) - The Detroit Lions re-signed veteran offensive tackle Jon Jansen and linebacker Vinny Ciurciu to one-year contracts on Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed. The 34-year-old Jansen signed with Detroit in June of 2009 after spending his first 10 NFL seasons with Washington. He played in 11 games last year, making two starts. | Flowery Branch, GA (Sportsbooks) - The Atlanta Falcons traded cornerback Chris Houston to the Detroit Lions for a sixth-round pick in the 2010 draft on Monday. The teams also agreed to swap fifth-round picks in the upcoming draft. Houston was Atlanta's second-round pick in the 2007 draft. The University of Arkansas product appeared in 44 games -- 37 starts -- in three seasons with the club and recorded three interception with 34 passes defensed and 161 tackles. |

Heller played in all 16 games (nine starts) last season, his first with the Lions after spending the three previous years in Seattle. He finished the 2009 campaign with 29 receptions for 296 yards and three touchdowns. | Allen Park, MI (Sportsbooks) - The Detroit Lions made it official on Saturday and announced the free-agent signings of defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and wide receiver Nate Burleson. Terms of the deals weren't immediately disclosed, but the Detroit Free Press reported on Friday that Vanden Bosch agreed to a four-year deal and Burleson a five-year pact.
