BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel is visiting the Cleveland Browns' training camp. He is on the sideline watching as the Browns go through another morning workout. With his hands folded behind his back, a pose familiar to Ohio State's loyal fans, Tressel visited with Browns president Mike Holmgren on Monday as he kept a close eye on Cleveland's first- |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - To Sheldon Brown, there's nothing new about the Cleveland Browns' revamped defense. The veteran cornerback made one good play after another Tuesday at training camp in new coordinator Dick Jauron's defense. It looked as if he had been playing for years in the scheme that features four down linemen, three linebackers and a lot of activity in the backfield. It is the same basic concept he learned in eight seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles before coming to Cleveland in a trade a year a |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - New Cleveland Browns punter Richmond McGee finally settled down Sunday. Sort of. The Browns were off, and McGee needed the breather. ``It's been a wild few days, but I wouldn't want it any other way,'' McGee said. He didn't plan on resting much anyway, utilizing every minute he could get to put his personal life back into some semblance of order. McGee's world was turned topsy-turvy when the Chicago Bears released him Monday. He went back to his job as a stock trader the next day |

BEREA, Ohio (AP) - Josh Cribbs expects to make plays for the Cleveland Browns. He's just not sure in what manner. Cribbs caught a few passes, lined up in the backfield a few times, and even completed a pass Friday at practice. That's nothing new for the dynamic kick returner. The Browns are always trying to implement his breakaway talent into their offense. A year ago, Cribbs was the key part of a wildcat formation often employed by Eric Mangini, fired as coach after a 5-11 finish. New coach Pat Shurmu |
