| Buffalo, NY (Sportsbooks) - The Buffalo Sabres claimed left wing Matt Ellis off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. Ellis split last season with Detroit and Los Angeles and totaled three goals and five assists in 54 contests. Over three seasons in the NHL, the 27-year-old Ellis has appeared in 70 games and has three goals and five assists along with 32 penalty minutes. He started last season with Detroit, but was claimed off waivers by the Kings on February 21. |
